The students were divided into two groups. Group 1 was assigned to discuss Nicole B Wallack's "On Reading Essays," while Group 2 was assigned to discuss Kylie Cardell and Rachel Robertson's "Essay now: the contemporary essay in Australia and beyond". On another reporting activity, the students were divided into groups and were asked to select a piece from the Entropy Mag website. They were then asked to identify the characteristics and the advantages of “hybridizing” the essay, presented through a PowerPoint presentation.
